Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

This explains what I do with your information. It is short because I collect very little and sell none of it.

Who is responsible

Daniel Edlund, sole proprietor, Los Angeles, California, United States. Contact: daniel@danieledlund.com.

What I do not do

This website carries no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts. Not Google Analytics, not a Facebook pixel, not anything else. Nobody is building a profile of you here.

I have never sold personal information and never will. There is no circumstance in which your email address is rented, traded or handed to a data broker.

What I collect, and only when you give it

WhenWhatWhy
You enter your email to be told when a guide is readyEmail address, which page you were on, the time, your IP addressTo email you when it is ready. The IP and time exist to stop automated abuse of the form.
You use the contact formName, email, website if given, your messageTo answer you
You buy somethingName, email, what you bought — held by GumroadTo deliver the file and handle refunds
Any visitStandard web server logsSecurity and fault-finding. Deleted on the normal hosting cycle.

I never see your payment details. Card numbers go to Gumroad's payment processor and never reach this website or me.

Cookies

No advertising or tracking cookies are set. A technical session cookie may be created when you submit a form. That is the extent of it.

Who else touches your information

Only the services needed to actually run this:

  • Gumroad — payments, receipts and file delivery
  • GoDaddy — hosting for this website
  • Microsoft 365 — my email, so anything you write to me sits in my inbox
  • An email platform — when I begin sending newsletters, the list will move to a dedicated service. This page will be updated to name it before that happens.

I will hand over information if the law genuinely requires it. Otherwise, no.

How long it is kept

Email addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you. Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires. Contact form messages stay in my inbox until I clear them out.

What you can ask for

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask me to:

  • tell you what I hold about you
  • correct anything wrong
  • delete you entirely
  • stop emailing you
  • send you a copy of your information

Email daniel@danieledlund.com and I will do it, normally within a few days. I will not ask you to justify it.

To be straight with you: I am one person selling a handful of guides, and the thresholds that trigger laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act almost certainly do not apply to a business this size. I honour these requests because it is the right way to behave, not because a statute forces me to. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR does apply to your information, and the rights above are the ones it gives you.

Children

This is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given me their details, tell me and I will delete them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date at the top. If a change is significant — a new company handling your data, for instance — and you are on my list, I will email you about it.
